Qualcomm is set to release the Snapdragon 875 chipset on December 1st

So as we approach the end of this year, expectations for the next flagship Snapdragon chipset are growing. Will the new chipset be based on a 5nm process? Will it surpass Apple’s new A14 Bionic chipset? So Qualcomm confirms that the rumored Snapdragon 875 chipset will be released on the 1st of December.

So it is reported that we have already started sending invitations to the virtual event that will release this. So we see that Qualcomm is following a year-end schedule this time as well as in previous years. So you can see from the invitation below that this is a two day event. However, this does not mention branding.

Snapdragon 875 Rumored Specs

According to previous leaks, this Snapdragon 875 chipset is based on a 5nm fabrication process. It is also learned that Samsung has already placed orders for this. Also, productions of this have started last June.

Speaking of internal specs, it sticks to the same 1 + 3 + 4 core architecture as before. It also includes the latest Kryo 685 cores built with ARM v8 Cortex technology. But when it comes to the prime core, the Cortex-A78 core is replaced by a customized and very powerful Cortex-X1 core.

Qualcomm has also included a Snapdragon X60 modem to handle 5G. However, there is no word yet on whether this modem will be integrated or available as a separate module.

So when it comes to which device comes first, we can conclude that this will most likely feature a device in the Samsung S series. However, Realme and Xiaomi have also teased that they are working on a 5nm chipset-powered flagship.
